In the year 2016 came into force a new law, regulating the activities of the private detectives. From that moment we can state that the new legal profession was born in Lithuania – private detectives. It is worth to mention that the services of private detectives were offered in Lithuania to the public more than 20 years, but the quality of such services was not controlled, the name “private detective” could be used by anyone. Now it is clear that private detectives in Lithuania begin a new era towards lawful and quality services and Lithuanian private detectives association hopefully will become a proper partner to them.
